Day 1 of December

Caruki Headcanons

Strolls through the woods and admiring the snowy scenery is something both Carla and Ruki enjoy

Carla sits on the couch near the fire only to let Ruki lay on him to read a book

Ruki introduces baking to Carla for the holidays to kill time

For it being the first year Carla celebrates Christmas, he's glad he was able to spend it with Ruki at most

Insert Azusa and Shin(in his wolf form) playing in the snow and Ruki and Carla being like moms watching them

Instead of cocoa, they both enjoy tea by the fire

Gingerbread is now one of Carla's favorite scents

Those 1800-1900 vintage Xmas movies are a favorite between Ruki and Carla

Ruki and Carla went to a skating rink up in the Human World and enjoyed every moment of it

They went to see the Nutcracker preformance one snowy night

When jokingly being told that Santa would give Carla coal, Carla was prepare to unleash madness upon this fairytale creature

Following @nutaella-kookie-deactivated2023 's announcement, I decided (with her permission) to create a new blog as a web host for most of her work on Tumblr. I've been feeding this blog with spam-tons of reblogs for 3 days straight and I'm sorry for that.

She was a very beautiful princess who was half Founder and Vibora (snake).

Her father was the Vibora King and her mom was a noblewoman who was a founder.

The Vibora king didn’t have an heir except her and truly he deeply loved his daughter so he loved having her around in the clan. (Cordelia doesn’t exist here because well if she did they would be sisters and that’s just weird to be Carla’s cousin.)

She helps her father with ruling, seeing her mother died when giving birth to her she has a strong connection with her father.

Although she is labeled as a princess she has the head of a queen.

She has been training to rule the clan her whole life so she knows what awaits her when the time comes.

She truly loves her people and they appreciate her despite the fact that she isn’t fully Vibora (of course they have no idea that she is a first blood).

They still consider her to be a wonderful future leader because she puts them first and because she is the daughter of Burai (Vibora King)

Her name might be something like Vilhelmina (since according to the internet Burai is a common name in Sweden and Vilhelmina is a Swedish name) it was designed for a warrior. This traditional name means “determined protector”, and it’s great for any girl with a strong mind and heart.

So idk I just kinda saw that, that could be her name.

She's probably tall and has a pretty face.

Her favorite season is winter and she may have even been more in the winter tbh.

She loves the snow and as a kid, she’d make snow angels and she just enjoys the breeze.

She always wears her hair up in an updo with her tiara on of course.

I see that she would do ballet as a sport when she wanted to do something in her leisure time.

One of the colors which best suits her is soft gold and cream, or beige.

In fact, when Carla actually met her she was wearing a soft gold/cream dress with lace embellishments.

Now the reason he actually met her was because his brother got into trouble with the Vibora clan and because he offended Burai, Shin ended up losing his eye in order to compensate for what he had done.

It’s only because Carla made him lose his eye in order for him to not lose his brother.

When this all happened I see that she interrupted the scene, I mean Shin still lost his eye in either case but she asked her father, Burai, to stop what he was doing.

“Father! This is madness, are you insane?!”

“My dear you must watch closely and do not disobey.” Burai looked at her as he sat in his thrown as she had stormed in disagreeing with him.

She may have been a queen in training but she was still kind and she had different morals than her father.

“Father, he should not be struct for something he does the first time, but for the second. Please, reconsider this.” (This may have not been the first time Shin had actually done something to offend them but she didn’t know that.)

“Enough of your foolishness, Y/n. His eye, at once.”

“Stop it!” She’d try and stop Carla but Burai would make sure to have the guards keep her from stopping him.

After such a deed she was quite upset with her father and disgusted by Carla’s actions actually.

She couldn’t believe he was willing to go through with this and give up his brother’s eye just so he could live.

This was the first time Carla had encountered someone of royal blood and with good morals.

To top it off she was a strong and beautiful young woman.

He saw her again near a creek in the woods writing a letter, she had slanted yet lovely handwriting.

She always used to write letters and I see them mostly just being for herself to hold accounts of what she had been witnessing or feeling.

I see this connects to Carla in some sense because (If I recall) he actually would write in his journal all the things he would feel/go through (mostly in the form of memoirs I believe).

So I just see that to be something they have in common.

Anyways, he saw her writing it down and I imagine she was able to sense his presence because she too, is a founder.

“To give up your brother’s eye as a way to compensate to my father is such a daring move. He told me he expected such actions from a founder.” She’d say whilst she had her back turned.

“Huh, you identify yourself as only Vibora, yet it is clear that you and I are the same. Does your father expect to keep the first blood in you dormant?”

“Do not insult my father for the unbarring mistake you may have made with your brother, and no. He did not choose such action, I did.”

“A wise choice I presume?”

“Longer after my mother had passed away from the epidemic occurring with our kind; my people grew to be afraid of me and if I could possibly be the reason the virus would mutate. My father had decided I leave town for a few years until he’d manage to find a way to calm his people. Once he did, the village was convinced I was never my mother’s daughter and that I was fully Vibora.”

“By you telling such a story, how do you know I’d keep this confidential?”

“If that weren’t the case I’d have no trouble in dealing with you.” She gathered her things and was about to pass by him but he put his hand on her shoulder to stop her.

“One last thing. . . . why did you stop Burai?”

“Maybe it’s because I wanted to do something my father’s never been capable of doing.” She’d explain about to walk to her horse which had been stationed by a willow tree.

He looked at her appalled by her intention, she got up onto her horse as she would take her leave.

“Tell your brother I send him my best. Goodbye, Carla.” She’d bid her goodbye without breaking eye contact with him before she rode off.

Another time he saw her writing a letter again and he decided to ask her what she was reading when they got into a conversation.

“May I?’ He asked leaning over to see her writing but she covered it up in an attempt to hide what she had written.

“I believe a woman’s words are private to male, are they not?” She’d smile with an endearing expression, one that always seemed to pull at his heart.

“Actually, I think the rule applies to strangers.” He’d add on with a small smug smile appearing on his lips.

“Well, if you must know I write these merely for myself . . . to keep memory.” She’d say handing him the letter she was writing, it was in the form of a poem actually.

He thought it was well written and beautiful tbh.

With their many encounters, they ended up getting to know each other and well, like each other.

The only problem was that it was best if they both met in secret so she and Carla met secretly seeing both had an interest in each other.

Now, the two met in secret mostly because of her father and what the kingdom would say.

For a good while, they were able to pull it off and hand lots of fun.

I see that because he likes collecting paintings and is probably a good painter himself so he probably made an oil painting of her once.

They used to walk in the forest most times and talk about what they wished.

He saw her perform ballet once and he really liked watching her tbh.

Carla really liked it when she’d change behind her dresser and wear the soft gold dresses which suited her most.

Not because he was a perv and he wanted to see her naked, but he wasn’t opposed to the idea.

Although she always wore her hair up, she left it down once.

Well, it was more or so because of the fact that when she first slept with him she had her down only that time and he really did admire her beauty.

I see that because she loves the snow he once brought her outside to a faraway city where they were alone there was lots of snow.

He knows what her Vibora form (she uses that one the most) is like and she always begs him to show her any of his forms.

But he always refuses and maybe only once agreed to but it was only once.

He does possess magic so sometimes he shows her cool things with it and she finds it to be fascinating.

Now all of this was bliss until her father found out about their romance a separated the two.

Once this happened the both of them would exchange letters in secret, saying how they love each other and how they want this to all be over.

At some point, Burai plains to have her be married off in order for them to have a stronger clan and to be ready for an upcoming battle they may have with an opposing clan.

She doesn’t agree to the idea but is pushed into it, Carla finds out by people who talk, and they hadn’t written to each other for a good well seeing that Burai lied to Carla and ended up having him convinced that she no longer carried for him after a good amount of time.

When he found out that she was getting married Carla went to see her but she was upset since he hadn’t written to her in such a long time. And they got into a huge argument.

“Y/n, you can not marry him. You do not love him.” He’d exclaim as she turned to look at him with an angered expression.

“What do you know about love, Carla?!”

He was taken back by her outburst before explaining.“What do I know? I know that I love you and although you may have changed your mind, I know that at one point we felt the same.”

“My father split us apart, at first you’d write to me and I’d write back, but in time that changed. You no longer wrote to me, I waited for you to write back to me.”

“You’re father ---”

“You left me for months Carla! . . . Why did you wait so long to come and find me now?”

“So you plan on just throwing away what we have?!”

“I don’t have a choice! You’re sick, how long do you think you will live?!”

“I can not answer that but I wouldn’t dream of letting you marry someone else.”

She shook her head no as she replied, “I can’t rule as a queen for the rest of my life without a king, Carla, my people want me to get married.”

“Y/n, forgive me for not writing to you sooner as your father convinced me you did not want to hear from me.”

“And you actually believed him? Carla, I loved you and that hasn’t changed.” She’d say, her eyes resembling glass as she approached him closer.

“I didn’t want to---but the letters I sent you, I assume you never reached them because of him. Please, drop everything and run away with me. Forget about the kingdom, your father, and your people for once. Put yourself first.”

“Carla, I can’t just---”

“This is not a request, Y/n. It’s an order.”

“Don’t you think that if I could I would?! . . .”

“Y/n--”

“No, people like us. . . our kind doesn’t get to make that choice. We’re not allowed to be happy, we have to marry blood that benefits us. We don’t get to marry someone we love.”

“Y/n, I will not---”

“I can’t go back on my word, Carla. You and I don’t have that luxury, maybe in another life, we could. But not here.” She’d say, a tear rolling down her cheek as Carla stormed off in anger since she wasn’t going to change her mind.

Overall, when she left him with such words he was really upset and angry and she was just sad tbh.

She ends up getting married to someone and is a queen and whatnot, but she does write one last letter to Carla explaining how much she loves him but her duties as a queen come first.

She explains how it was one of the hardest decisions she’s ever made and that she will always love him even if she is with another man.

She also tells him that she wants him to move on with his life and the whole letter brought him to tears and it just made him even more upset.

She also was very broken by writing such a thing and living her life in such away.

I don’t see either of them ever really moving on from such a feeling.

Kinda wanna see something wholesome for once. Like the Mukamis and Shin playing in the snow while Ruki and Carla are in the cozy home watching like moms

Unity and Variety

Day 3 of December (pushed back)

As each and every flake of snow finds its way down to the ground, the more excitement build up the moment realization hit, and it being the first day of snow within the month. Before an hour hits, the serenade woodlands of the Demon World is coated in white.

It's a matter of time before Ruki found peace with the remainder of his brothers being out to further admire the snow, while he kept a safe and warm distance. This applied to Carla too, being under the same roof as the Mukamis, he watched Shin eagerly head out without a moment to spare.

From watching through a frosted window, you could see and hear the joy and chaos that happedned outside. The times Kou slipped and fell was worth the cackle, and the snowballs Shin threw at Yuma to start a snowball fight was pure entertainment. All within the mix, Azusa only watched and often would pitch into the activities, yet liked admiring the snow and it's entirety. More and more flakes appeared, covering what footprints were left behind by four sets of feet.

As Carla came to accompany Ruki, he heard the impure chuckle with slight amusement.

"Has he fallen again?" He questioned.

Sipping from morning coffee, Ruki nodded, "You know Kou too well."

Indeed, Carla did, for him and his brother has been intertwined with the Mukamis since Azusa and Shin started dating. Family, of course, isn't just blood, but friends too- Lovers even.
